WWI state-side Depot Brigades what collar device?

This is a follow-up question related to Depot Brigades. The first one was about SSI and the conscious was that they did not wear SSI.

 

The second question is what collar devices would have state-side Depot Brigades worn on their tunic; especially Camp Devens MA.

 

Stratasfan started a nice thread about one of her relatives who served in a depot brigade state-side and in his picture he is wearing an infantry collar device along with the US collar device. She raised the question of should it be infantry or QM that was not fully answered. I would think QM only in the fact that they were involved in supplying and training ID that where going overseas. I hope the WWI guys can enlighten us to what the collar device should be and the rationale for it.

I imagine that the troops assigned to the unit itself as a permanent party would wear the collar discs of their respective branch, just like in any higher command organization, the officers too, the troops that went/processed though this type unit, the Depot Brigade? again we would imagine the collar insignia of their respective branch.

There were Depot Brigades collar disks also worn during this period, usual Infantry with "D" & "B" at right angles, also some I think with DB below rifles & number above. Jim McDuff lists several numbers in his book, Enlisted Men's Collar Disks 1907 to 1993 probably long out of print but worth finding a copy.
