SKIPH Posted August 26, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2018 Picked up a "MILPAR" JPK at Robert Wilson's, "TARBRIDGE MILITARIA" this afternoon. It's used, but decent condition, very sharp. Figured I'd get it, since I don't have one. Always looking for that missing piece for my collection. Came home, and really can't find out much on MILPAR JPKs. Frank's Knife Knotes had some info, basically made in 1963 on a 21,000 piece contract. It's blade marked, not dated, and appears to have what's left of a blued finish, (but could be a well worn parkerized). Sheath was a metal backed type that was blackened. Doubt if that is original to a 1963 JPK, but who knows. Anyone have any thing to add? No pics. SKIP
sactroop Posted August 27, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 27, 2018 The pommels of the MILPAR JPSK's I've seen have been unique when compared to others. Here's a comparison of a MILPAR sandwiched between a Camillus and Ontario. It looks like even the steel washer between the pommel and leather handle got special treatment.
