Child's Civil War uniform or other

Can anybody advise if this child is wearing a Civil War uniform for either side or just and old CDV of a child in a random uniform?

I don't see a uniform.

 

Children's clothing would often mimic adult clothing, so there is a "uniform" style to it, but I don't see a uniform itself. The hat also looks civilian.

 

The back of the cdv would be useful (if photographer marked) to date it as a Civil War era image.

Thanks, no its not maker marked on the back there's a two cent playing card tax stamp that has been cancelled.

The revenue tax stamp would put it in the AUG 64- JUL 66 range, so it is Civil War era.

not sure if this would have been a drummer uniform though. but could see it not being out of the realm of possibility.
