CIVIL WAR ERA AMBROTYPE 6 SOLDIERS FAIRHOPE ALA.

I picked this Ambertype photograph at an estate sale in Fairhope, Alabama, on Mobile Bay today. It is damaged but the image is great shows 6 men in different uniforms and sporting bee hive hats. I tend to think they are Confederates because of the different uniforms a the location of where it was purchased. Any help with oppenion about which side they were on would be greatly appreciated.

I love these large groupings of soldiers. It is a shame about the damage.

 

I would think that they are a group of Union soldiers. The trim on the jacket cuffs of the two seated on the left looks like veteran stripes.
