Sigsaye, I can't thank you enough for your input. I'll make adjustments accordingly. As for the Radioman striker, the only reason it's there is because the USMC was a sub-element of the Navy at the time. Great to have this type of expertise as a member of the Forum, but then again, that's what the Forum is all about. Jack

Youre very welcome. Mr John Stacey, (Literally), wrote the book on Navy Enlisted insignia. His last

Book covers 1833-2004. Must Have if you collect Navy. He also wrote a book on Navy insignia worn on Marine uniforms (he is a Former Marine), again, a Must Have. Most Navy insignia on Marine uniforms was never authorized. But Marines bought them in shops off base and wore them proudly. After all, what were they going to do, send them to war in the Pacific? ???
