viking73 Posted August 13, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2018 Hello, I'm hoping some here can help me identify this fuse panel. All the fuses are dated 1957 (didn't get any pictures of those). The only markings I saw on the back are posted in a photo below. B-52? C-97? -Derek
viking73 Posted August 13, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted August 13, 2018 Here's the money shot with the stamping. I sure hope the assembly # will tell for sure?
viking73 Posted August 13, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted August 13, 2018 Here's another detail shot of the panel. Thanks! -Derek
phantomfixer Posted August 14, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 14, 2018 both the B52 and the KC97 had the AN/ APN 69 radar beacon...per wiki one of the breakers in the last pic is for a turret...so maybe the B52... awesome find...
MWalsh Posted August 16, 2018 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2018 So a question on this panel and other things like it from aircraft.... It's dusty and dirty like they often are. Aside from a bit of water and rags, how does one get these looking nice? Would or could something like Armor All be applied to get it looking nice again? I know some though is that such compounds harm things over time. But curious what others use or do to make them look nice.
Teamski Posted August 16, 2018 Share #6 Posted August 16, 2018 Simply wipe it down with warm soapy water. You won't hurt it. -Ski
manayunkman Posted August 16, 2018 Share #7 Posted August 16, 2018 I agree with the warm soapy water and use it sparingly. Before soaping it up take a 2 or 3'' wide paint brush and dust it off.
phantomfixer Posted August 17, 2018 Share #8 Posted August 17, 2018 agree with dusting it with a moderately stiff brush....less water and soap
ram957 Posted August 17, 2018 Share #9 Posted August 17, 2018 It takes a lot of time but I use damp Q-tips...
