Hi all, could you enlighten me on why this uniform would have an RAF wing and not a RCAF wing since the decorations are Canadian?

It's because he used whatever he could get his hands on, as far as I know. Same with the piece of RAF/RCAF uniform cloth that he used for the combat aircrew backing.

I actually bought this uniform in 1996 at one of the Great Western shows from the coin shop dealer who got it from the family. I sold it in 1999 or so. There should be some research with it that I did...hopefully more with the number of collectors who have owned it since then.

Is it normal for such a high-end tailored uniforms to be named multiple times? Would it possibly be where a trade occurred? Maybe one liked the other and they traded? It is a killer uniform and so nice, I find it odd that an airman would just say...nahhhh, dont want this one anymore. Is it possible to make out both names on the tag?

Dave or Tball did you ever research both of them?

It's not at all uncommon for these guys to have traded uniforms. I tried researching the uniform when I had it, but never had any strong leads. Then again, that was back in the 90s and there are many more resources now than then! There are actually three names on the tag: T. W. Jenkins (the most prolific), T. B. Mesick, and Pennell. I'm 100% confident in the authenticity of the uniform...but it wasn't easy to get a plethora of info on the owner back in the 90s.

Here's the photo from the sale thread:

Squadron Leader Colin Harvey, Christopher Plummer in The Battle of Britain as we see, though a fictitious character Plummer's character is presumably based on composite and or real life characters as seen with a few characters in the movie.
