Written on the reverse of this postcard, sent from "George" is: "Most all of the fellows have their hair cut all off as you see a few here. that is the costume down here." Note the mascot, which appears to be a calf.

I wonder where "here" is?

This image is labeled, "On Our way, 8-19-17".

Any guesses as to where they are and where they are headed too?

Close up of the soon to be shipping out Marines. Note the caduceus insignia on the cover of the lower-right Marine. Also can anyone make out what the rate worn by the sailor in the background is?

A USMC crap game taking place behind a large stack of ammunition! Any guesses as to where this game is taking place?

Last image - A close up of the center Marines cover bearing the letters "RRD" beneath the E,G & A cap badge.

What does that insignia represent?

Thanks again for looking. Feel free to comment or add more detail about any of the images.

I don't know where "here" is but this was taken aboard a USN vessel, note the sailor in the background on bow watch and they're standing on deck under a sun awning in front of a ventilator.

A couple new editions, each of which featuring a U.S. Marine or two.

What I'm guessing is a tour bus filled with soldiers & Marines somewhere in San Francisco circa 1918.

Liberty party prior to debarking from the USS New Hampshire. Among the shore-going sailors is a solitary Marine.
