Late war M1 with Lt. bar

This is my first post so I'm still working on getting the photos up.

 

I recently purchased this rear seam swivel bail Schleuter shell which came with a Capac liner.

 

The shell appears to be heat lot 500A, and is marked with the S below. It has several laundry stamps and is also named to a Wellington. The shell does not have any markings on the outside.

 

The liner has black A-washers and appears to have an overpaint and a 1st Lt bar on the front. On the back of the liner is a white stripe similar in size and shape to the Lt. bar, but it is not centered on the back.

 

 

I have two questions.

Does anybody know what the stripe on the back could be for?

and what is the value of this set?

Nice looking shell, mind showing a picture of the chinstrap stitching? (I have a late war Schlueter and just want to compare the bartacking.)
