patches Posted August 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2018 Came across this partial article in the nostalgia section of my local neighborhood newspaper, The Ridgewood Times, a write up of this officer, Captain Henry L. Abbes, C.O. K Company 117th Infantry, 30th Infantry Division, on his involvement in the capture of a German General, Kurt Dittmar. A further online search led me to this great photo find, interesting thing about this photo of Captain Abbes and General Dittmar posing is they seem like old friends .
