Hey fellas, thanks for the comments. I have some more WIP pics. I had to stop and fix my grandsons F-15E which his step sister took paint to. But I've digressed.

I've done some more painting on the bunker, added another sniper, an ammo box of fuses and the completed mortar and .50 cal. MG. Enjoy and all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

The tiny detail that smacks me harder than the others are the slits in the helmet cover on the sniper. Amazing!
Mikie

I noticed that too, right off!

Manny, did you finish the ground? It looks somehow strange on the last pics, kind of glossy. Or is it just the flashlight?

Hey Lars, no the ground was shiny because it was actually wet. I had painted on a wash and it hadn't dried when I took the pic.

Everyone,

I have some updated WIP pics. I'm still tweaking things and still have to add the Claymore mines with the wire and firing trigger, .50 cal MG belt has to be added, smoke and frag grenades to be added and a cigarette. This is my preliminary positioning of the figures but I like the way they line up. My only concern was the grenadier. Well as always all critiques and comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments, but I just want to say that the figures are NOT on permanently and I still need to add some things. The finished pics will be posted soon. I'm in a group build and I want to get started on that.

Well its finally finished! "Charlie at the Wire!" deals with 3 sniper teams near the perimeter trying to take out NVA sappers that have been spotted at the outer perimeter wire. Normally the sappers would try to cut the barb wires or blow holes in it so they could have a path into the inner perimeter. So as to not waste big ammo on them the snipers would also challenge each other to see who can take out as many of the enemy as possible.

Lars, billrob and Kenny: thanks for your comments; Kenny I was searching for a Vietnam era mortar team but haven't found one, yet. Mikie: I love your sense of humor. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Just magnificent! No kidding! My brain can't process the mass of fine detail. I'll need to look at it a few times to register it all. This first time, the thing that jumps at me is the machine gun ammo belt.

Outstanding work Manny, as mentioned previously the level of detail is mind blowing. Just notices the old mate with his finger in his ear, beside the sniper about to fire. These little touches add enormously to the realism of the diorama.
