RememberThe5thESB Posted July 20, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2018 A soldier who took part in the Normandy landings, and was part of the 5th ESB. For one year I saw this man at a veterans day assembly at our high school, and I had the honor of playing in the school band for all veterans that came, including Red. He sadly passed away one day after the leader of the local American Legion, a teacher at my school and organizer of the veterans day assembly passed away as well. God rest both their souls. I'll leave a link to Reds obituary. http://m.vigenmemorialhome.com/obituaries/events?obituaryId=2853446 Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk
gomorgan Posted July 20, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2018 Red is missed by all who knew him, a good man. I served on many a funeral detail with him and my father, always had a new story or joke for every one and didn't repeat them.
