Jarhead8007 Posted July 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2018 These just came across the desk today. The brand new, USMC-model UAV wings. Officer on the left, enlisted on the right.
bobgee Posted July 19, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2018 Interesting. First look. But I would think these are Naval aviation badges not just USMC. S/F.......Bobgee
rathbonemuseum.com Posted July 20, 2018 Share #3 Posted July 20, 2018 When it comes to flight Insignia, USN/USMC tend to wear the same as USMC part of Dept of Navy
Jarhead8007 Posted July 21, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted July 21, 2018 These are the "standard samples" that the Marine Corps maintains in its collection as a record of what the design is supposed to look like. I can't speak for the Navy on this. All I know is that this is what the Marine Corps issues.
teufelhunde.ret Posted July 21, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 21, 2018 Anyone with knowledge of the design elements... the three dimensional V. And the circle with V on the enlisted wings are grossly oversized. Why?
firefighter Posted August 3, 2018 Share #6 Posted August 3, 2018 Interesting. Officers are usually gold and enlisted silver, but that might just be surface type insignia.I am surprised they didnt incorporate an anchor on the ‘enlisted’ design. The officers looks like the flight officer with the ‘V’ design added. Brig Posted August 10, 2018 Share #7 Posted August 10, 2018 Dumb... I'm sorry, UAVs are the stuff of RC modelers and video games...they're not SF...this badge is unnecessary. How do real pilots feel about these Tchotchkes?
