bbmilitaria Posted July 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2018 I am assuming this large 6th Armored Division patch is occupation, German made. It measures 10 1/2" x 8 1/2". Chain stitched on at least three different types of material with a bullion tab and outer border. The paper backing has spaced circle design. Any thoughts on this one?? Thank you for looking. patches Posted July 23, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 23, 2018 Here's another large one, this one the Berlin Brigade. I'm assuming your 6th Armd Div might German made too. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/310056-mother-of-all-berlin-patches/?hl=%2Barmy+%2Beurope
Red Devil Posted July 23, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 23, 2018 WOW! It does appear German made and on the same scale as mine. Fantastic piece.
patches Posted July 23, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 23, 2018 I have no idea what these were for, my one first guess was to be sewn to some kind of banner or bunting, the second to the rear of some kind of jacket. They could be some kind of novelty souvenirs sort of thing.
bbmilitaria Posted July 24, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted July 24, 2018 Thanks guys. It is mounted on a thin piece of wood or very sturdy cardboard, so it wouldn't be a jacket patch. It would work on a banner though. Thank you for the help.
