RememberThe5thESB Posted July 16, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 16, 2018 I would like to go ahead and show a grouping I got around 7 years ago, I'm posting here because it's a uniform but would appreciate info and help identifying the insignia, and maybe even the vet who owned it! Any info and opinions would be appreciated! Thanks! Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk

yp221 Posted July 16, 2018 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2018 This looks to be your guy. I got a feeling the date of birth is a typo.
RememberThe5thESB Posted July 16, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted July 16, 2018 This looks to be your guy. I got a feeling the date of birth is a typo.Seems to be. Finally great to know more about the guy over knowing nothing for 7 years! Best thing is that these were my first surplus finds ever, and started off my collection. I really appreciate the help, thank you! Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk
RememberThe5thESB Posted July 16, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted July 16, 2018 If anyone else could dig up something else on the guy, or identify the insignia, it would be greatly appreciated! Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk
yp221 Posted July 16, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 16, 2018 The patch on the left sleeve is the ADSEC (Or Advance Section) European Theater insignia. The patch on the right, the "combat" patch is for U.S. Army 2nd Corps. Based on the insignia on the lower left sleeve he was overseas for 3.5 years. That 2nd Corps patch may be for action in North Africa.
RememberThe5thESB Posted July 16, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted July 16, 2018 Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it. And I know it's not really relevant to the questions I asked. But I did find something in the pocket when I bought it. It is a veteran made poppy from the American legion auxiliary, from 1951. RememberThe5thESB Posted July 16, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted July 16, 2018 Just thought I'd mention that. But really though, thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it. Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk
yp221 Posted July 17, 2018 Share #10 Posted July 17, 2018 Glad i could help a little bit. If you're really interested in finding out more about Kohl, i highly recommend reaching out to Geoff at Golden Arrow research. He'll find everything available about your guy. Having the research will, generally, increase the value of the uniform also.
