An elderly Black Couple who set up at the Flea Mkt. Brought me these this morning, I have bought some very good items over the 10+ years I have known them. I have numbered them 1 thru 11. Would someone tell me their opinion on : Any WWII? VN era? Any or all copies? Any not US? Thank you in advance. I am going to list them on the Forum FS and if you want to state a fair reasonable value on any of them I'd appreciate, but I really do not expect any prices, just age and ID is very generous of you. Note the two that have a foil packet secured to the back, I can not imagine what for but I've left alone for now. Richard

I just noticed that on the Ranger Tab, the R and the 1 are gold thread and the balance is white. What does that mean? Richard

Ranger tab is post 1975 era into the 80s.as for the gold thread maybe someone just tried to over embroider it.

The patch with crossed arrows is the JFK Special Warefare school.

The loong wing looks Israeli but hard to tell by photo.

The otther is Russian airborne related

Master wing on blue appears USAF jump wing

#6 - 2nd Bomb Wg 1060's era

#8 is off an older ESSO/EXXON gas station uniform back when they wore uniforms. May be related to the 2nd BW KC-135's.

Thanks Ron you are always so helpful. So I take it none are WWII and nothing really a scarce collectable (worth $40.00 or more)? Are the 2 bullion ones Russian (I was hoping S VN.) Is the tiger non military? The yellow star with the red star in the Middle from N VN or Russian or ? Richard

The Esso Tiger patch design dates back to the "put a tiger in your tank" ad campaign. Not sure how to price it, but it may be of value to a car buff or petro collector. Always a favorite of mine when I was a kid, and as pointed out it was used as an inspiration for some USAF patches related to air refueling.

#7 is a Specialist 5th (Spec 5) rank and appears 70-80s as well.Merrowed edge and "pig tail" which dates these late Vietnam and after

No clue what the gold star is.

The gold scrambled eggs could be off anything...commercial ball cap or boating cap etc

Well I got some info. So as I still do not know which if any are Russian I will list patches all for sale price each your choice and the desirable ones will go and I will not knowingly be breaking any Forum Rules. Give me a few minutes to compose a FS post. Richard
