pzjgr Posted July 23, 2018 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2018 It's a horizon indicator, just like your other one, its military (AN number), it was used on just about every type of WWII aircraft by the end of the war, if not all)... It allows the pilot to see if his wings are level in relation to the ground in the dark, bad weather, etc, when VFR doesn't work...pretty much every plane would have had a Horizon Indicator installed...
