Buyer beware. Looks like original blanks that were stamped out. This seller has sold some suspicious stuff lately.

IMO they don't even look close...bad from 10 yards...just ugly

They look like they were stamped with a 10 lbs. maul....they look BAD

I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to tags so this may be nothing but it looks like he used 3 different stamp sets. The original marking outfits I have seen only have one size.

To be honest the tags themselves look like the current repro sets being sold. I wonder if maybe the seller sent the info and had them made, or did it him/herself. They are clearly not real though.

Hi,

 

are they faked or not, I don't know ... however G.P Albrecht never came to France and was not at Belleau in June 1918 as he was stationed at the USMC HQ, Washington DC !!

 

So why would someone stamp fake dogtags from a Marine who spent year 1918 in Washington DC ? ... stateside Marines 1917-1918 dogtags sell for just a few $ in general.
