Vpep Posted July 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2018 Happy Independence Day Everyone, My wife spotted this uniform while we were out antiquing the other day, so I grabbed It up. I hope this is the right section for this. This is the uniform for a Army Community Service Volunteer. The group was established in 1965 by General Harold K. Johnson. By 1967 the service was in full swing with most military installations in the US. It was usually operated by Army Spouses, and was instrumental in providing support to families of service members. Im not sure when this uniform dates from, but it must be from the late 1960 through early 1970s. I would love any information about this uniform as well as the ASC. Since the spouses of military personnel suffer just as greatly as the men and women in combat, I thought it would be a valuable addition to the collection.
