gwb123 Posted June 29, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2018 I will be travelling to Newport News soon, and am very aware of the museums in the area. Any recommendations for flea markets, antique shops, etc.?
everforward Posted June 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2018 The Virginia War Museum is in Newport News, it is very cool...(I saw where you said you knew about that stuff, so I mentioned it anyway ) Also The Newport News WW1 Victory Arch is nearby, still standing and worth a trip seeing. It will be 100 years old in a few months, and thousands of troops marched through it when returning from France..... There is a good antique mall in Lightfoot, just north of Williamsburg...... USARV72 Posted June 30, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 30, 2018 See if the flea market is still open in Gloucester, used to be very good, just up Rt.17. Lots of good seafood in area.
