I assume this was made in the Philippines. The retired Marine officer had a houseful of Philippine carvings, tribal weapons, bowls, etc. It was some of the nicest such Phillipine artifacts I've seen. I love the work on this eagle. He received a very large Phillipine carved plaque during a change of command: http://www.usmilitar...laque-painting/
