mikie Posted June 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2018 Hi. I always hope to learn new things every day. I don't know much about patches and have seen the phrase "mirror patch" a few times while researching. Anyone mind edumacating me? Thanks! 72psb Posted June 21, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2018 Mickie, My WAG is a patch that is made to orientate facing the same way on right or left sleeve.Say like an eagle flying forward on either sleeve.
BEAST Posted June 21, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2018 Mikie, My understanding is that these are novelty patches made to hold a circular mirror. These were mostly homefront items, the ones that I have seen are usually for an air base. I dont have one in my collection, so all I can offer is this poor description. mikie Posted June 21, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted June 21, 2018 OK, thanks! My new thing learned for today. So I can go back to bed now? So it seems like from some of the comments on that link that not having the mirror still attached does not hurt the collectability of these patches? It may actually hurt it? Mikie Not to patch collectors. Maybe to mirror collectors.
