Hi guys! Proud to say that I’ve completed a full year of non-stop collecting and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon! Figured that I would post a majority of my uniforms to celebrate the occasion. :)

This one’s pretty interesting as he served in both theaters, earning his CMB in the PTO after serving as a combat medic in ETO HQ.

7th Army/1st Army jacket attributed to “Frederick Lowman”, an Operation Dragoon vet:

That would be a great collection if you'd been collecting for 10 years. How do you find the uniforms? My Dad was in the 32nd Division so that would be my favorite.

I find most of them on eBay or from other forum members. The 32nd uniform is one of my favorites too! Definitely a hard fighting pacific unit.

Great job man.

I like how focused you are.

This coat is real interesting, do have a back story on it, as we see the COMZ combat patch worn with the 31st Inf Div and 155th Inf DIs, with both ETO and PTO ribbons.

Jumpin Jack

Some how I suspicion that you have a particular liking for Marine uniforms. We seem to share that interest. Keep up the good work. Some very nice acquisitions. Jack

That's a great uniform collection, especially considering its only a year's worth. Thanks for sharing and happy anniversary!

Not much of a backstory, all I know is that he was in the ETO HQ as a medic and transferred later in the war to the PTO, earning his CMB at Mindanao Island in the Philippines.

Very interesting, seeing no Purple Heart, a guess would be he might of been badly wounded in the earlier phase of the Normandy Campaign, sent home, made a swift recovery, and then was reassigned overseas or volunteered for overseas service and sent to the Pacific instead of back to Europe.

Figured I would add some of my recent acquisitions to this forum, rather than starting a new thread. Much thanks to the forum members that enabled me to add these beautiful pieces to my collection!

First off is a WWII 43rd ID Ike jacket grouping named to Warrant Officer “Ernie Hargreaves” in the 103rd FA Ordnance Co.

Next is a 36th ID, 132nd FA Ike jacket named to “Arthur Potter”, a veteran in the Operation Dragoon campaign, as well as Rome, Central Europe, and the Rhineland.

Last, but not least is a 24th ID, 34th Inf. grouping in today, named to 1st Lt. “Charles Russ”. The 34th Inf. was initially assigned to the 8th ID, however in 1943 they were assigned to the 24th ID to relieve the 298th Infantry, seeing most of their combat in the Philippine islands.
