jpipes Posted June 20, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2018 These two collar discs came off a named tunic for a SGT in the 309th Regiment of the 78th Division. The tunic came with a lot of supporting materials but Im concerned about these discs. One seems a little crude and I cant tell if the other is the dreaded hump found on the Naugatuck restrikes. Any input would be much appreciated!

jpipes Posted June 20, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted June 20, 2018 Good to get confirmation! Thank you. I do wonder though how one can tell the different between the hump on the disc at right and the hump that suggests a disc is a Naugatuck restrike. Maybe I need to get one of those to compare in person. The pics in another thread are good but also hard to compare.
