Hello all

 

I show you my latest purchase , from great war militaria, located in Chambersburg ,Pennsylvania.

 

I think , the button is no correct for this pattern , i have find in pocket one ring and size label.

The button is correct, since the uniform was made on a Nov 1910 contract. The rimmed eagle buttons were not introduced until 1912. This style of uniform was made for many years and ones made after 1912 would have the more common rimmed buttons but you have an early one.

Bonjour.

It is not uncommon to find this type of buttons. We also find the big models for the overcoat.

sorry ,its me again because i can not post all photos in the same post ( too biger file )

Very nice example, the tag you found in the pocket would have been sewn into the collar of the coat. Most of the time they were discarded, so that was nice it was in the pocket. I will combine the posts into one thread for ease of reading.
