Even in the early '90's we'd get a "wipe down" after your neck and back of head were shaved up..smelled classic, and was one of the best parts of getting a haircut IMO. Anyone recall having this? Still remember my barber's name from when I was a kid and my father took us three boys down there for a haircut. His name was Wayne and we got our hair cut at the old historic Monte Vista Hotel in downtown Flagstaff, AZ. My dad would always have us get crew cuts and I also remember the barber putting on some sort of pink balm on our hair so our crew would stand up. Happy Father's Day in heaven Pop! Ha! It wasn't till a few years ago trying out a new barber that I experienced one of these things. I had no idea what was coming so I almost jumped out of the chair. Dad always took us to the same barber from my first haircut till the guy retired almost 20 years later. Eddie the Barber and my Dad were army foxhole buddies during the war.
