Is this the same bike? The photo was taken at Fort Benning in 1941. The unit is the 41st Infantry (Armored) of the 2nd Armored Division.

This looks like a Harley Davidson 41WLA equipped with a Buddy Seat...

The longer front forks, large handlebars and civilian type luggage rack were all changed on the standard 42WLA shown above...

More info about the 42WLA at www.theliberator.be

Don't worry, Doug.... This is for all Armed Forces related bikes....

Nice Big Twin.... What does the SY in the PNSY marking on the fender stand for?

Portsmout Naval Ship Yard

The scary part is that when we were putting it up on the float for the parade the ramp shattered and we almost dumped the bike crying.gif but thank god the four of us held on for dear life until help came

when we heard what it was appraised at ( w00t.gif )we almost died, we are convincing the brains of the museum not to do a stunt like thuis again!

The bike on the right is actually an Indian, I think a 500cc model 741B (based on the civilian Scout). :)

Hello, interesting photos of WLA and Rio de Janeiro. I was there a couple years ago, there is very interesting US WWII .50' caliber water cooled machinegun at the shelter next to Copocabana beach. The other fortification are very cool too, I like the cupolas with heavy guns to protect the city against seaborne attack

By the way, does anybody have any period photos of Harley-Davidson XA?

Hi all,

I am not an expert in this subject but now I want to ask you guys something.

In these days I got an offer for a Harley Davidson "Liberator" (year of construction is 1942).

Condition is original and not restaurated (perfekt, original tires), about 1000 mls...but I don´t know what its worth.

What would you say can I bid for such an old motorbike? I only would use the Harley for an investment and would keep her in my

living room

Thank you for informations!

If it's really original unrestored condition, with all parts original to the bike and the original tires, I would say 20.000Euro.....

But please post a picture as I doubt it's all original... I hope I'm wrong though....

At this time I have no photo but I will post it as soon as possible.

Would you say such a bike is an investment capital and its worth to keep it for 10-30 years?
