greensquid68-69 Posted June 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2018 Hello - I have a helmet liner with a small M6 stamped in the inside top. Does anyone know what this stamp means? Thanks, Jim
Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted June 15, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2018 I believe it is the number of the mold it was made in, so if one is found with defects it can be traced back to the faulty machine and fixed. IIRC the ones marked "US" and then a number are owned by the US government and loaned to companies who made liners for them, if they don't have a "US" like yours then they are owned by the company making the liners. denfly Posted June 19, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 19, 2018 If I remember correctly, the M is for Marmac. A company that made liners from the late 1950's to late 60's.
