Are there any photos of Union and Confederate Soldiers Together?

I was looking through some Civil War photos of soldiers posing for portraits. There were many images of soldiers posing with friends and/or relatives. This got me thinking about the Civil War pitting brother against brother. So, I wondered if there are any contemporary (1861-1865) images of Union and Confederate soldiers posing together?

Maybe not! I think they were mortal enemies...

I actually have an instance of brother vs brother (and 1st cousin and uncle!) US/CSA in my family history..all in Tennessee..and the CSA side all lived away from the family after the war.

Sadly, only pics I have are headstones (Gov't provided).

The Iron Brigade

Fair Oaks, Va., Lt. James B. Washington, a Confederate prisoner, with Capt. George A. Custer of the 5th Cavalry, U.S.A. - Custer and Washington had been classmates together at West Point before the war broke out, and when Custer heard of the capture of his old friend, he requested Washington be his aide during his time in captivity.

Not sure where to find it, but I recall seeing a photo of greys and blues together in a group during a battlefield holiday cease fire, sharing tobacco and food...

The picture of Custer and Washington I had seen before. The circumstances were such that Washington was a prisoner at the time. I was wondering about studio portraits where either family or friends went together with the purpose of having their picture taken. I am sure that if one exists, it would be extremely rare.

It would be difficult to imagine the real circumstances for such a photo since being uniformed implies that they had gone to their points of rendezvous, one would be coming back into enemy territory, etc. A few photos have been misidentified as such, but were theatrical or showed a US officer and a member of the VRC. The closest I can think of is the attached image, which shows the meeting of an exchange commission near Vickburg in April 1865.

Now I don't really know anything about civil war uniforms so whether or not these are USA and CSA or just two CSA/USA uniforms I'm not sure of, but I was interested in this topic so I did some quick research. The one on the right is from a book titled "Brother vs Brother".

EDIT: After a second look, it looks like the right photo has actually been photoshopped. And is not the same photo but two different photos. I guess most likely the only photos of them together could be after the war?

I don't know nearly enough about USA/CSA uniforms, so I can't say for sure that the photo on the left is the likes of which I was asking. But, it might be the closest thing that I have seen to date.

Thank you for sharing!

The photo on the left in Huntssurplus's post is of two Confederates. The book cover photo is simply two different photos placed side by side for the cover illustration.
