Tell me this is a WW2 droop wing

Went to Ashland, OR this weekend to swap out a car with the daughter. The ONE condition I set, was that I got to get to go to the monthly Medford OR swap meet. It's held in the Nat. Guard Armory. Kind of a light turn out for vendors, but I ended up scoring this nice little EGA. I think it's droop wing, so let me know how I did.

Other haunts and hits, I got a WW2 Japanese Police dress sword, a WW1 era Navy yard long, a cheap Army Ridgeway cap (that was at a sale after my wife made me go the McCloud, CA hippie...I mean mushroom festival) and a couple of patches.

Overall a good weekend....for me. OH by the way, we didn't swap the car, we ended up buying a good used car. Aahhh, the joys of parenthood and still having one in college.

It’s of pre WW1 origins, enlisted issue cover emblem. Could be found on uniforms thru and beyond WW1. The Corps did not use official wear-outs dates for emblems at this time.

Also, not a "droop wing". The term droop wing is used to refer to the 1930s issue variety that was out of service by WWII
