I have a chance to get a British PROOFED COLT OR ITHICA 45 WW2. IT IS IN EXCEL SHAPE. THESE ARE OUT OF MY AREA OF INTEREST. what is today the market value on one of these???

Just according to the description, anywhere from $1500 to $2500 depending upon original parts (barrel, hammer, trigger, thumb safety, slide release and assuming the slide is original to the frame) and whether import marked or not. If in original configuration, not import marked, excellent condition (and not counting any accoutrements like a holster and magazines) the value could go around $3000 plus or minus $500. Just my opinion.

Colts are usually higher than Ithacas. Especially the 6 digits, Pull firing pin plate to see if matching slide. That is a premium! RS stamp is very valuable. Have seen all matching with RS go for 6K+
