MattS Posted May 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2018 I have exactly 2 poor photos of what a young seller is describing as a "Marine sword". Any info to be gleaned from these photos?

warguy Posted May 18, 2018 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2018 I wouldn't buy it with just those two photos. I am not liking the look of the hilt personally. May be lighting but could also be a cheap knock off. Just my two cents.
MattS Posted May 18, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted May 18, 2018 That's what I figured, thanks!
reschenk Posted May 18, 2018 Share #5 Posted May 18, 2018 Agree with WarGuy. It is generally in the style of a post-WWI USMC M1859 NCO sword, but the hilt is not quite right. The grip is angled wrong and has the wrong type leather, and the knuckle guard is way too wide. The chasing also looks off. It looks to be a low quality rip off.
