This patch is in a group to a Marine who served in WW2. He served from 1942-1946. His Asia/Pacific ribbon has four stars. Included in the group are two photo albums with photos of Hawaii and the islands he served on during the war. I sent for his records from St Louis. Does anyone know anything about this patch? Is it just a souvenir a Marine bought in Hawaii?

Thanks,

Dick

As Bob said.

You can find your answer in my past hawaii px thread

http://www.usmilitar...-too/?hl=hawaii

For some reason I never updated the grouping with the Marine one that started this thread. I have all 5.

Interestingly, in one of the photos there is a much larger version of the Army one. Never seen another nor one of the other branches like that.

Thanks for the information. I added the U.S. Marines patch to your post.
