ocsfollowme Posted May 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2018 As the old adage goes, never judge a book by it's cover. I am not sure if this one had a dust cover at one time but the real magic came when you opened the cover. The antique store had penciled in on one of the first couple pages "from a local author." ocsfollowme Posted May 11, 2018 Author Share #13 Posted May 11, 2018 A stretch until I can identify the photo, but the book was given to Mary from Sam. The only Sam on the AVG roster found at https://flyingtigersavg.com/rosters-of-the-avg/ Samuel B. Prevo, M.D. Flight Surgeon

mortaydc60 Posted May 12, 2018 Share #24 Posted May 12, 2018 Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful bullion work with great detail. Where was this made? Doesnot look like typical Chinese work atleast from the back. Curious as to what others think.
Bill Scott Posted May 12, 2018 Share #25 Posted May 12, 2018 Standard Chinese workmanship a stunning job.Depending on the thickness of the bullion and the quality of the workmanship the fronts and backs of them differ. Here is one I sold that is not as exotic as the one Steve picked up.Scotty PS Steve one of the best I have ever seen.
