Bearmon Posted May 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2018 I finally acquired a Quick Find insignia, it isn't the IUWG but rather a Naval Undersea Command, the predecessor to Naval R&D command. I acquired this from a family member of the employee who worked at NUC in Hawaii in the 60's and 70's. Quick Find was a program which trained Sea Lions to recover ordinance from underwater, it started as an NUC program in Hawaii, then went to IUWG and was handled by the SEAL's in Coronado CA. the link below shows a great video https://www.reddit.com/r/navy/comments/2vlaf5/project_quick_find_usn_marine_mammals_actual/ I love the patch and can finally say I have seen a real one in person.
