1906 US Navy Appointment by President Teddy Roosevelt

Very interesting document that President Teddy Roosevelt appoints Edwin L. Jones a LTjg as an Assistant Surgeon in the US Navy on January 17, 1906, effective from the 6th of Januaury. Cosigned by the Secretary of the Navy, Charles J. Bonaparte, the grand nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte. Appears to be printed on vellum and measures approx. 19 by 18.75 inches.
