Hello, I am listing 7 Mameluke USMC, Marine officer’s sword plus 3 other swords, please look at all 3.

Sad to say this Patriotic Marine was killed in Vietnam by an artillery round along with some other marines. His name is Matthew O. McKnight originally from Florida. Tried to find burial city but was unable to find.

The story I received was that this sword was found under a bed where it probably had lain for 40 years. Some rust spots on the scabbard on closer inspection I realized that t are finger or palm prints on handle firmly imbedded from all the years assumed these to be the prints of Officer McKnight. Have original box the German made sword originally came in will send that with the sword...May this sword always be placed in a place of honor.

1stLt McKnight and I were Marines together. He was killed in Vietnam in October 1967 and his sword somehow ended up on eBay in 2009. We want find the sword, purchase it and return it to the family and have it mounted and hung at Auburn University where he graduated and was commissioned a Marine Lieutenant in 1966.

I have been in contact with eBay but they are not able to locate the record of the sale or identify the seller or buyer. Thus, I am asking your help in identifying Collectors/Vendors who might be able to help me.

Thank you,
