Vincennes Posted April 24, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 24, 2018 I have a collection of over 150 photos from the estate of Lt. Col. David L. McAbee. He was Radar Operator/Navigator in the 414th, Night Fighter Squadron in WW2. They originally flew the British Bristol Beaufighter out of England before changing to the P=61 Black Widow when stationed in Italy. Here are a couple photos of the Bristol Beaufighter in flight from that collection.Paul

The Meatcan Posted April 25, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 25, 2018 Great pix! In the second post, what sort of paint scheme is on that Beaufighter? Is it the standard Brit green/earth colors? Thanks for sharing. Terry

Vincennes Posted April 25, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted April 25, 2018 Here are a couple more photos of the Beaufighter from the collection. The photos are black & white, so I have no idea of the color scheme. Most of the aircraft photos in the collection are nose art shots of the P-61.
