Kimo Posted April 24, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 24, 2018 Are they thick and heavy or thin and light?
5thwingmarty Posted April 24, 2018 Share #3 Posted April 24, 2018 These are typically thin and light (less than 10 grams), and less than 3" wide (about 2-3/4"). I have not seen any consensus as to when these date to or if they were actually worn by pilots or were just sweetheart pieces. Prices can be all over the map too, from well under $100 to over $200 with no obvious differences in the wings except for the ones marked BB&B Bronze, and a recent sterling one that looked to have been modified to be a senior pilot wing which was also up in the $200 range if I recall correctly.
