swmdo Posted April 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 21, 2018 Small grouping from LTGeneral Dewitt Smith as a young officer fought with General Patton during the battle of the bulge. The jacket appears to be M1951. Unfortuntely, I had a chance to get his M1941 jacket and did not realize the significance until after I got home. That M1941 jacket was very worn and I elected to get the newer jacket, darn... Also got his fathers WWI helmet and a yard long of his fathers machine gun battalion. The 4th Armored division patches appear to be WWII as do the war eagles for Col. These were in a ditty box with other smalls.
