Thanks for the comments guys!

Just like one I used to have! Very nice. Swivel or fixed?

It is a swivel bail!

Here are some more pictures of it. It has a nice and early Saint Clair Liner and a 2LT Bar pinned onto the front

It also appears that the Soldier's initials were added onto the webbing. I wonder how difficult it would be to research this?

If all thats written is H.R it would be near impossible to 100% identify him.

You would need to look at there recruitment roster and litellraly go through every name with the initials H.R -

Thanks for the comments guys! I have actually potentially identified the Soldier. It appears that there was a Harry G. Rekemeier was a member of the Motor Transport Officer and Communication officer in the 11th IN REGT. during his time with the Red Devils. Once again there is no way to proof it unless he is still alive or his family can confirm if I can find them. Love this helmet! Definitely looking for more division marked helmets!

I actually found the remnants of some more writing inside of the shell. Not sure what it could be. looks like "DA..."

-Edit-

Not sure how my Japanese battle flag popped up.... and my computer isn't letting me delete it. I apologize it is off topic

Really like the ranked St. Clair liner! Looks like the lid has had a late war repaint? Nice helmet regardless!
