Thaddeus Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted April 20, 2018 Here are some more pictures of it. It has a nice and early Saint Clair Liner and a 2LT Bar pinned onto the front
Thaddeus Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share #10 Posted April 20, 2018 It also appears that the Soldier's initials were added onto the webbing. I wonder how difficult it would be to research this? Thad
ghengus Posted April 20, 2018 Share #11 Posted April 20, 2018 Wow awesome set! Very nice early SC helmet liner as well. Go Dawgs!
ArchangelDM Posted April 20, 2018 Share #12 Posted April 20, 2018 It also appears that the Soldier's initials were added onto the webbing. I wonder how difficult it would be to research this? Thad If all thats written is H.R it would be near impossible to 100% identify him. You would need to look at there recruitment roster and litellraly go through every name with the initials H.R - Yours Dean
Garandomatic Posted April 20, 2018 Share #13 Posted April 20, 2018 The 5th does have rosters, but they are in each individual regimental. Do you know what area it came from?
Pudgy (V) Posted April 20, 2018 Share #14 Posted April 20, 2018 Nice lid!!! You need to get a bigger shelve and add a few more.

Thaddeus Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share #16 Posted April 21, 2018 Thanks for the comments guys! I have actually potentially identified the Soldier. It appears that there was a Harry G. Rekemeier was a member of the Motor Transport Officer and Communication officer in the 11th IN REGT. during his time with the Red Devils. Once again there is no way to proof it unless he is still alive or his family can confirm if I can find them. Love this helmet! Definitely looking for more division marked helmets! Thaddeus Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share #17 Posted April 21, 2018 I actually found the remnants of some more writing inside of the shell. Not sure what it could be. looks like "DA..." -Edit- Not sure how my Japanese battle flag popped up.... and my computer isn't letting me delete it. I apologize it is off topic
Phineaus Posted April 27, 2018 Share #18 Posted April 27, 2018 Really like the ranked St. Clair liner! Looks like the lid has had a late war repaint? Nice helmet regardless!
