Dogsbody Posted April 17, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2018 Hello everyone, since I'm Dutch I especially like US militaria with a Dutch connection so it isn't strange for me to add 3 Dutch phrase books to my collection ( 3 different ones, though ) Maybe there are other folks out there with a similar affliction...... if so feel free to add your French, German, Norwegian etc. etc. US army phrase books. mikie Posted April 17, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 17, 2018 Those are cool! Just wondering if the translations were accurate. Dad had a US Army Japanese combat phrase book. As a kid I learned things like "Drop your weapon", "come out with your hands up", "surrender, we will not hurt you", etc. It made playing army more authentic! Can't remember any of it now. I have no idea what happened to it when I left home and have never seen an exact same one since. Just gotta keep looking. Thanks for sharing! Dogsbody Posted April 18, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted April 18, 2018 Thanks Mikie, the translations are pretty accurate. The phonetics are funny sometimes. Maybe I can weekly send you a picture of a different page so should we ever meet you can for example tell me to remove my hat, sit down and shut up in fluent Dutch, Rene
