I am curious, what in his record indicates that he became a qualified naval aviator? I see where he went NAAS Kingsville, but I assumed that was for aviation electronics training? Thanks - Jeff

I've really enjoyed this thread since it was first posted, and every time I have looked at the photo of the Chief in his whites, I've thought that he looks like the kind of guy that a movie director would cast as a CPO than anything. Today, I was trying to think about who I thought he looked like. Maybe Ernest Borgnine?
