SKIPH Posted April 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2018 Hey Gang! I always try to inform everyone about good collector deals. Stumbled on this one. What is even better is the seller has a video of him actually opening the shipping box. This is so cool, I have to share it. These are Italian, M4 Carbine bayonets. My rational for showing is the tie to our beloved M1 Carbine, and that the US invented the M4 carbine bayonet. Here's the ad, go to "Classic Firearms", search for "M1 Carbine Bayonets". When the sale ad shows the picture of the bayonet for $39.99, click the box that says, "What's In the Box", below the pic, and watch the video. I was blown away. You have got to see this! And yes, I did order two of the bayonets, one of each manufacturer. It's too good a deal not to inform my fellow collectors, to add a correct variation to their M4 collections. If someone could post the video that would be cool, if it's alright with the moderators. Check it out!!! SKIP
jw517 Posted April 15, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2018 Thanks, but,ah. I bought a couple rifles and handguns from them. They are fast shippers!
SKIPH Posted April 15, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted April 15, 2018 Never dealt with them before, but saw the M4 bayonets, then the video. Had to jump on it, and inform our collector friends. The video really caught my eye. It was like a giant Christmas gift to watch being opened. The bayonets are well priced, and what I saw are in very good condition. I have no ties to "Classic Firearms", other than ordering 2 bayonets last week. SKIP

sundance Posted April 16, 2018 Share #9 Posted April 16, 2018 Can I assume (yes I know the phrase) that these were built for carbines left with Italy after the war? Neat video (thanks anznation).
manayunkman Posted April 16, 2018 Share #10 Posted April 16, 2018 Do they have plastic handles?
sactroop Posted April 17, 2018 Share #11 Posted April 17, 2018 The handles look like plastic. Probably much like the ones used for the BM-59 bayonets.

SKIPH Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share #14 Posted April 20, 2018 The M4s are here! I received two, mint condition "AET" blade stamped bayonets, dated 1955, & 1957. Scabbards are also mint. Way better than I expected. These look like they just came off the assembly line. Bayonets have no scabbard wear. Appear to have never been taken out of scabbards. May have to buy a couple of "FAT" next time. I hope everyone ordered who wanted to. Great buy!!! Sorry no camera-yet! SKIP
sundance Posted April 20, 2018 Share #15 Posted April 20, 2018 Skiph. Were they in transit long? I see you're in NC. Is that where Classic Arms is? I ordered 1 and was notified today that it was shipped. Looking forward to seeing it.
SKIPH Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share #16 Posted April 20, 2018 sundance- I was notified yesterday that USPS had them, and shipped them out. This morning's notice said they were here in town, and the last notice stated they would be delivered today instead of tomorrow. Monroe NC is only about 2 hours from where I live so no big deal for me as far as the mail goes. When I ordered over the phone, the lady stated they were a few days behind on getting orders out. Anyway, very pleased w/ everything. SKIP

byf41 Posted April 21, 2018 Share #18 Posted April 21, 2018 Midway USA has them In 3 grades for $30-$40 bucks , look the same to me .
SKIPH Posted April 22, 2018 Author Share #19 Posted April 22, 2018 MidwayUSA originally had these for $79 for their grade 1, on down to $40. Appears the competition is causing a price war. Another company has dropped their prices too, but still $30 higher. Good for us collectors. SKIP
aznation Posted April 23, 2018 Share #20 Posted April 23, 2018 Just received my two, "AET" stamped bayonets, dated 1957, & 1959. One bayonet was in mint shape, no scabbard marks. The other bayonet is in near-mint shape. One scabbard was in mint and the other appeared to have been repainted, but serviceable. Overall, I'm very happy with them. They are a great price for what you get.
