This is a grouping I couldnt pass up. It is a named grouping of Alfred Elonzo Bean. From the little information I have right now he joined around 1941 and served Until 1969. Two of the three uniforms are dated to wwii and looks like he wore them to until retirement. Group came with about 50 wwii period pictures of USMC service and Iwo Jima. Also several other documents including Discharge and retirement papers. One of the coolest things is a set of dog records to Blackout with Mr. Bean assigned as handler. I have not researched yet (any help greatly appreciated) however from what I have and what the seller told me from the family was that he may have been the mail clerk for the 4th Marine Division. I could be way off, however some of the paperwork states that Blackout guarded the mail. This along with some of the pictures Ill show seem to make sense. I asked the seller to contact the family to see if any of the other gear was available. He stated that the family was clearing out home as it had been foreclosed on and many things had been thrown out. This was all he could get. Glad he saved what he could. Thanks for looking.
