nchistory Posted April 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2018 Can anyone help identify this visor cap, There are no markings other than Marine's name which is P Y Brown, PFC Paul Young Brown, 1922-25, mostly time spent Dominican Republic. Not familiar enough with the M-22, assuming that's what this is. It also came with his identified M-12 Holster, I did not win the holster, but will post for reference. There is a size Tag with Lot and something. I'm guessing this is private purchase, buttons have prongs, no vent hole in cover sides, underside of brim is green, EGA looks WW1. This cap came from Concord, NC, home of PFC Brown, and is very salty. Doesn't look like khaki, almost a coffee tint. All help is greatly appreciated. nchistory Posted April 8, 2018 Author Share #25 Posted April 8, 2018 The cap frame and cover look to be post Ww2 with an early EGA. Hi, Are you willing to post something that would validate your comment?? Otherwise just blurting out a negative devalues an artifact. I did touch bases with the guy that wrote the book before I posted, and he said it was all good, but always interested in other's reasoning. Thank you.
