BEAST Posted April 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2018 I was fortunate at the last local military show to find two pano photos of the First Cavalry Regiment taken in the 1920's and the 1930's showing a great comparison of the uniforms and insignia. TROOP B, 1ST CAVALRY taken at Camp Marfa, Texas in April 1928 Regimental Flag Officers and Senior Enlisted First Cavalry Division SSI DUI worn on lapel Model 1918 Coat

GIl Sanow Posted April 6, 2018 Share #6 Posted April 6, 2018 What was called an M1918 above is actually an M1924 -- same as the earlier high collar, but with gilt buttons. DUIs were worn then behind the collar discs, then when the open collars were adopted, they were initially worn behind the discs, then moved to the lapels. I thought there was another model before the 1926 was introduced but couldn't locate the info. I'll check out your earlier FOOTLOCKER article.
