A friend has had this USMC-marked helmet cover in his collection for many years. He asked me about it and I told him I'd never seen such a cover in USMC use in my experience. I took these pics with my IPhone so they are what they are. The cover is stamped in 2 places and partially shows "COVER, HELMET, CAMOUFLAGE - MARINE CORPS SUPPLY ACTIVITY - 11-XX-1967" I can't read the numbers. The material is non-hbt O.D. My guess is that it was a prototype looked at during the VN period but never adopted? Any of you helmet guys ever seen this cover? Semper Fi.......Bob
