link Posted March 23, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2018 First, please ignore the date on the pics. The batteries died and I didn't notice the date reset. Question is can anyone tell me who made this grenade? It has more than just a C. I bought it back some time ago and best me and the seller could tell it was used to make a lamp or something. The fuze has a hole through it. The bottom also has a hole drilled but it looks pretty smooth as if it may have been made that way? It also has what appears to be remnants of gold paint. I read some inert grenades were painted gold but then this one appears to maybe have been a home decoration at one time. Any thoughts about this one? Thanks! link Posted March 24, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted March 24, 2018 Outstanding! As you can see the paint is pretty much worn off the knobs and only in the grooves. Do you suspect the color is military applied for inert or a later home decoration? Any idea where I might get a better fuze for it? Also is it worth the $10 or $15 I gave for it? Thanks again. link Posted March 24, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted March 24, 2018 I forgot to ask. When would this grenade have been made and which fuze would have been used? Thanks again.
