Navy Bullion Rating Rank Patch Torpedoes

This rating came with the other ship patch I posted from the USS Ericsson and appears to be a pair of torpedoes with a six pointed star above them. It's possible that is related to the first USS Ericsson TB-2 which was a torpedo boat which might explain it's era as well being pre WW1. This rating measures @ 3 1/2" in height by 3" in width and is on black felt with gold bullion.

USS Ericsson has been the name of three warships in the United States Navy. They are all named for John Ericsson, the designer of USS Monitor and a torpedo that was cable-powered by an external source. More recently, a support ship in the Military Sealift Command has been designated by his full name.

P-40Warhawk

That's not US, it's a Royal Navy torpedoman rate. Forget which one.
